A workshop about words: old, unusual or evocative terms are rediscovered through incomplete texts, clues and word games. Pupils work in groups to rebuild meanings and create new combinations.
What pupils will do
- Looking up the meaning of words and terms.
- Completing texts and sentences.
- Making a small illustrated vocabulary.
- Final game with words, synonyms and images.
Goals
Understand the value of words; widen vocabulary; train logic and interpretation; discover the link between language, emotions and places.
Who it is for
Recommended age: 9–18 years.
Classes: Years 4–5 of primary school, middle and high school.
How it works
- Length: 2 hours 30 minutes, guided visit of Villa delle Ginestre included.
- Teaching materials included: every pupil takes their work home.
- At least 20 paying pupils. One workshop leader every 20 pupils (€100), added automatically.
- Teachers and accompanying adults free, one every 8 pupils.
